I was told that magic mushrooms make your brain bleed internally, and that was what gave you the trip. Is this true? What exactly do the chemical compounds released by shrooms DO in your brain that gives you these sensations?

That's a very complicated question to be asking

Shrooms do not make your "brain bleed" or have any "poisonous" effects. Psilocybin (the hallucinogenic chemical in shrooms) is one of the least toxic of the psychedelics and will not physically harm you in any way.



I'd suggest some research at Erowid ( www.erowid.org ) might shed some further light on the subject.
