mushroom kits

hey all, when you twist out the mushrooms, you twist out the whole shroom, right? They say to remove the first batch after about 1/2 inch of growth, what about before the spores fall? and how can you tell? Any other tips would be helpful in getting the best yield.

Hi Keith,

What kit are u using?

If you have the Cubensis kit of Sjamaan, you should defenitely NOT harvest the shrooms when they are 1/2 inch.

!!!! 5 inches is more like it!!!!!

How you remove the mushrooms is not that important as long as you do it as carefuil as possible.

hey dikkie, thanks, the 1500 kit, is using perlite and water in a sealed plastic storage container a good idea for moisture control? In the instructions it says use 2TL's as far as lighting is concerned. Is that anything like a 100, 40 etc. watt light bulb. I have a humidifier, that will help, right? Any other hints would be great. Oh yea, i am in the states and ordered sat the 1st, any idea how long it will take?

TL's are the long tubes. The light is diffrent from bulbs. A 30 watt or so TL will do. How long. Idont know,
