getting started

i am trying to get started in the wonderful world of growing magic shrooms. i have been looking at kits sold on the internet, but i have a hard time thinking that i need to pay upwards of 200 dollars for a kit. looking at the pictures of the kits, it looks to me like i can pick up the stuff i need at any wal-mart store. is there any web sites available to me that can tell me what i need equipment wise? also, what is the best book i can possibly get on the growing and cultivation of shrooms? any help would be wonderful.

I have purchased grow kits from the internet that came in a sterile bag with an air filter and a resealable spot for injecting the spores in the bag. I am pretty sure I did it right and folloewd the instructions precisely, but nothing happened. The shrooms did not grow. Has anyone else has a successful experience with growing shrooms in bags? or is it just a gimmick?

Has anyone successfully grown shrooms at home?

i got all the materials (except spores) from local stores for all under $40.00 and i'll have enough to keep growing for a year or so. you really just need:

canning jars soil organic honey

vermiculite rye flour(organic) 2 spray bottles

rubbermaid containers w/lids water and a cool dark place
